Rep. Lewis has filed the following bill to address environmental issues:
An Act to Reduce Solid Waste and Save Money for Cities and Towns: Consistent with the Massachusetts 2010-2020 Solid Waste Master Plan, this bill directs the Department of Environmental Protection to develop specific targets for solid waste reduction that cities and towns must achieve. This will spur greater recycling rates, reduce municipal solid waste disposal costs, and save taxpayers money while protecting our environment.

An act updating the bottle bill
An act to require producer responsibility for collection and recycling of discarded electronic products
An act to require environmentally safe alternatives to harmful cleaning products
